The studies aim to promote the development of new food formulations, incorporating innovative technologies that consider the production of sustainable foods. The studies seek to recognize and understand nutritional problems in population groups, identifying public policies and intervention actions that can minimize these problems. Research in this field involves several methodologies and areas of knowledge, guided by interdisciplinarity and incorporating recent advances in science as an effort to recognize the environmental, social and individual determinants that interact in the occurrence of nutrition\/malnutrition phenomena.
