Brand manual & graphic resources: PPGN Visual Identity

After inserting your presentation details in the chosen template:

1) Click Share” (upper-right corner).
2) Click Download.”
3) Keep the file type as PNG and confirm Download.”

Email the PNG to mariana@nutricao.ufrj.br at least two (2) days before your session date so it can be posted on PPGN’s Instagram.

Request to Register a Researcher in UFRJ’s Institutional Post-doctoral Program (PIPD)

The supervisor will send all the documentation listed below to the academic secretariat in a single email for analysis by the CD-PPGN.

1) Registration application on 2 pages

2) Research project and activity plan

    • Important 1: The research project must also include qualified scientific production (articles, books, patents, artistic works, etc.).
    • Important 2: For the activity plan, it is also important to include activities described in article 15 of CEPG resolution 04/2018.
    • Important 3: The research project must include the postdoctoral researcher’s work schedule (part-time = 20 hours per week; full-time = 40 hours per week).

3) Letter of approval from the supervisor.

4) CV Lattes of the researcher applying for the postdoctoral program

5) Proof of doctoral degree (diploma or certificate)
6) Copy of national ID (or passport for foreigners)
7) Copy or proof of voter-registration card
8) If the candidate holds a scholarship: attach the grant agreement showing the scholarship period
9) If the candidate is employed: attach an employer-consent form (“Term of Awareness”) signed by the institution (see annex to Resolution 04/2018)

The subject of the email to be sent must include “PIPD REGISTRATION – POSTDOCTORAL NAME”, to speed up the procedure.

After submitting all documentation, the process follows:

Step 1: at a meeting of the CD-PPGN, the application is forwarded to a reviewer designated by the committee for analysis in light of CEPG resolution 04/2018 (hence the importance of reading the resolution).

Step 2: After issuing a favorable opinion on the application, the academic secretariat will forward the document to the Congregation for approval.

Step 3: After approval by the Congregation, the academic secretariat will open a process in SEI with all the candidate’s documentation, the favorable opinion and the declaration of approval of the application by the Congregation for a second analysis by a reviewer appointed by the CPGP (CEPGuinho).

Step 4: Once the application has been approved and approved in all the instances above, the academic secretariat will register the postdoctoral researcher in SIGA, implementing the RCS code (as if it were a discipline) corresponding to the weekly workload of the postdoctoral researcher in his/her transcript.

Important: when the scholarship deadline approaches, if renewal occurs (and is possible), the supervisor must inform the academic secretariat of the number of months of the extension, as well as the start date and end date of the researcher’s new period of work.

Guidelines for the PPGN Postdoctoral Researcher

Once registered, postdoctoral researchers will only have access to the certificates/statements issued by SIGA after registering a recent digital color photo (less than 6 months old) in their enrollment record (“Personal Data” tab), in the following format:

    • 3×4 ratio (33 mm × 44 mm)
    • Completely WHITE background, without any texture or use of filters
    • PNG or JPEG format (max. 100 KB)
    • Face forward, with the image from the shoulder up, containing practically only the face

Important: when the scholarship deadline approaches, if renewal occurs (and is possible), the supervisor must inform the academic secretariat of the number of months of the extension, as well as the start date and end date of the researcher’s new period of work.

COMPLETION OF POSTDOCTORAL INTERNSHIP

To complete the postdoctoral internship, the researcher must submit the following documents to the academic secretariat.

The academic secretariat then forwards the document to the CD-PPGN for analysis and the necessary procedures are followed in other instances. At the end of the entire process, the postdoctoral researcher will be entitled to a declaration of completion.
